CAPITOL HILL NEIGHBORHOOD
Just north of downtown, Capitol Hill homes for sale offer residents an enticing blend of Denver city life. Capitol Hill holds some of our city’s most beloved tourist attractions, such as the Colorado State Capitol Building, the historic Molly Brown House, and Civic Center Park, which is a popular large venue for events, concerts, and festivals. Although the Denver Art Museum does not lie within Capitol Hill, it is just minutes away from the neighborhood.
Offering historic mansions, mid-size Victorians, Denver Squares, modern condominiums, and affordable apartments in art-deco buildings, Capitol Hill real estate provides Denver home-buyers a wonderful variety of choices for their unique lifestyles, all within a wonderfully convenient neighborhood. Residents can easily walk to a variety of restaurants, shops, grocery stores, and bars. Cap Hill, as Denverites call it, is a location especially popular with millennials, with its urban vibe and extensive access to public transportation. This is a neighborhood in which one could easily live without a car, as Downtown Denver and the South Broadway district are also within walking distance of Capitol Hill.
Capitol Hill also contains two of Denver’s top music venues – the Fillmore Auditorium and the Ogden Theatre, three grocery stores – King Soopers, Whole Foods, and Trader Joe’s, numerous fantastic restaurants, such as Potager, Mizuna, and Bones, as well as great coffee shops, such as Pablo’s Coffee, Roostercat, and Thump Coffee Roasters. Capitol Hill is also home to our favorite yoga studio, Kindness Yoga, where you can experience some of Denver’s best yoga teachers and then head downstairs to the vegetarian restaurant, City O’City. The bordering North Capitol Hill neighborhood is known locally as Uptown, which offers even more variety in restaurants, nightlife, and locally-owned shops.
